original in good but not mint used condition.total guess on the year hat might be from,just went by what previous owner said.it has some wear and stain.looks like it had a button snap on front.part of it is still there but it has been sewn together.inside has some loose threads and there is a white inner liner that is torn in spots.can't be seen unless you unfold black liner.has a slight musty smell.doesn't have any rotten spots or holes.see all pix.
