Handsome fold-out 1962 Sinclair road map of the central United States, printed more than 58 years ago.
The map opens to 18" x 36" and has great detail on old highway alignments, including U.S. Route 66, with cartography by Rand McNally.
The coverage area includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, North and South Dakota, and parts of Montana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Wyoming.
The north central states are on one side; the south central states are on the other side.
The map was distributed by the Sinclair Oil Company in 1962 and is dated by the code number in the lower margin: 2-5803.
Condition:
This map is in very good, lightly used condition, with a faint crease, some minor wear, and route markings by Sinclair's Auto Tour Service. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
