    The reverse has an eagle in flight.  which was designed by Mint engraver Thomas Roberts Sr ..
    The coin depict the spirit of Peace, Liberty and Freedom which was shown by Sacawagea to the explorer Merriwether Lewis and William Clark during their journey to open the west of the continent.
    The coins have a gold color and a plain edge to separate them from other coins under the United States Coin Act of 1997.
