They have a swirling, flowing effect of black enamel on golden colored metal.
Italy is highly respected for it fine quality workmanship,  and it's fine quality of enamel.
A very nice look.
The back side has a shank for sewing/beading.
Well made by skilled Italian craftsmen.
All of our Italian buttons came from a high end supplier in
NYC's garment center that catered to top designers.
We were fortunate to purchase these when he retired.
