    Description

Here, we have a 2 page hand written letter by Alfred Lord Tennyson dated January 10, 1863.
" Hi (?), My acquaintance with (?) Browning was unfortunately but slight. I suppose her publishers would be those to whom you should apply. For my own part I think the Lancashire people are best helped by the ordinary mode of subscription (?) Your obedient servant A Tennyson". This is written in black ink on thin folded paper. The letter measures 7" X 9" with the writing on both sides of one half.
Yes, the letter and signature are authentic. They were inspected by my antiquarian book seller and closely compared to his Alfred Lord Tennyson autographs in his inventory. .
This is in excellent condition, clean and clear. The letter has been folded and some of the folds are separating. My apologies I cannot decipher all of the writing. Please view my photographs for more description.
My friend who collects everything, is starting to part with a few of his treasures, aren't you glad?
I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
