    Description

    We are offering a Civil War Era Autograph Album - Meriden, Connecticut.  There are a total of 47 entries in the album.  Most of the entries are dated 1861 through 1865; two are dated 1869; one is dated 1877; and one is dated 1881.  The cover has a very nice gilt decoration depicting an autograph album on a table with an ink bottle and a feather pen.  The album belonged to Miss Julia H. Lee.
    The album is a friendship album, with poems about friendship written by the signers, and a beautiful little essay on friendship, entitled "Friendship's Offering".  There are "well wishes", and also Bible scriptures.
    CONDITION:  The pages of the album are Excellent.  The covers show some wear around the edges.  Album measures 5 1/2" x 7 3/4".
