Vintage 9X12 color thin stock photograph signed in the lower margin in black fountain pen ink, "C. P. Summerall, General, Retired."  Some light imperfections, otherwise nice.
(1867-1955) General Charles Pelot Summerall was a senior United States Army officer. He commanded the 1st Infantry Division in World War I, was Chief of Staff of the United States Army from 1926 to 1930, and was President of The Citadel between 1931 and 1953.
