    Jimmy Stewart (1908-1997) was an American actor known for his distinctive drawl and everyman screen persona. Stewart's film career spanned 80 films from 1935 to 1991. With the strong morality he portrayed both on and off the screen, he epitomized the "American ideal" in the twentieth century.

    centers on Stewart whose best friend is a pooka named Harvey, a 6 foot 3.5 inch tall invisible rabbit, and the ensuing debacle when the man's sister tries to have him committed to a sanatorium.
