Here's the ultimate lighted Sinclair advertising sign. These letters came off an actual Sinclair station canopy. There are 8 letters in the distinctive SINCLAIR script. The tallest letters (the S and l) stand about 23" tall. The letters all together as I laid them out in the photos are about 7' long. Each letter has commercial grade LEDs in it as you can see in the photos. (The letters are shown lit up in the first 6 photos under varying background lighting conditions. In the 7th photo the letters are shown not powered.) All of the letters light up brightly and evenly, and with LEDs you can be assured they will continue to light brilliantly for many years to come, running efficient and cool. All of the letters have an LED power wire that comes out a hole in the back -- all you need to do is connect those wires in series to the included 12-volt LED transformer (known as a "driver"), using the supplied wires and wire nuts. The driver is attached to a new, 5'-long power cord. Just connect the red low-voltage wires to the other red low-voltage wires; and the black and white low-voltage wires together -- very simple. If you've ever changed a wall outlet or wall switch you have more than enough electrical skills. Each of the 5"-deep metal letter bodies has holes on back so you can attach them directly to a wall -- as was done at the gas station these came from -- or to a board with a groove on its back for hiding the wires. In photo 6 we show the "S"
cover off to show the lighted LEDs. The photos don't do justice to these beautiful letters --they are a VERY VIBRANT RED BOTH LIT AND UNLIT, just as they are at gas stations. The LEDs emit red light through a red acrylic cover on the letter housing, and the color is a pure and even RED. You will receive the letters, each with low-voltage wiring coming out its back, an LED driver original to the sign and sized specifically for it, 2' lengths of new, low-voltage wire to run between from the driver to the first letter and between the letters (more than enough), all the wire nuts you'll need, a new 120-volt power cord to run from your wall outlet to the driver, and new sheet metal screws for holding the acrylic letter covers to the metal housings for each letter.
