Vintage Folk Art Hand Carved Wood Lion w Ball ~2.75x7x5.5" As Is Broken Tail

Up for sale is a vintage hand carved lion with a soccer ball recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area.  This was fine when we bought it but jumped off its shelf in storage.  Tail has a clean break and now the lion is a little loose on the base.  Probably custom made for a soccer player that played for a team that were the lions.  Wonderful style, well made.  One of the teeth is a little shorter so small break of 1/8 or 1/16" inch but other than that good condition.  Hand painted teeth and claws.  REally a neat style.  Very folky design.  Overall fantastic design, worthy of all restoration efforts.  Best guess 50s to 70s when whittling was so popular.
