    Description

    This auction features a vintage Chinese Yixing-zisha teapot. Very unusual design, marked 4 times. It holds roughly 1.5 cups, or about 350ml. Excellent condition. The pictured article was found folded up inside the teapot.
    I don't believe it was ever used for tea. The inside has been "raked" with a tool, effectively giving it more surface area and giving the tea a rough surface to absorb. I believe this pot was very expensive new. The article mentions a lily shaped pot with a frog on the lid that cost 0 (in 1984). I acquired that pot as well and will be listing it with the other two.
