antique cobalt blue glass sprayer bottle,
with original affixed front paper label and looped, ring brass nozzle top assembly, with original brass metal patina. The glass sprayer bottle was a
'Bronx'
sprayer, produced by the
D. B. Smith and Co. of Utica, NY
from
1920 to 1936.
The
'Bronx'
printed branding on the original paper label has been diminished and nearly obliterated from the previous material once housed in the glass bottle. This loss only occurs principally on the equatorial band of the paper label and not on its upper or lower spheres. The cobalt blue glass body of the spray bottle is without hairline cracks, edge flea-bites, scuffs or surface abrasions. Before the advent of plastics, this cobalt blue spay bottle was an early, all-purpose glass spray bottle with a brass nozzle assembly, designed to dispense any number of liquids, from medicinal, first-aide and pharmaceutical topical compounds to garden pesticides.
